We’ve been looking forward to Microsoft’s Xbox conference practically all year. Finally, it’s over and done with, and we’ve got all the details on Scorpio, all the games to look forward to – so many games – and more.
In case you missed it, here’s everything that was announced.
Beware, there are many trailers ahead – we’ve split it over a few pages to stop your browser exploding.
Xbox One X – Yup, remember that ‘Scorpio’ thing? It’s got a new name – It’s not Xbox One X. No points for the ingenious name. We’ll have more in-depth details to follow, but in a nutshell, it’ll have 6 Teraflops GPU, 12GB GDDR5 memory, and true 4k resoltuion/textures/assets. All existing games will look better on it, and if you’ve not got a 4k TV, 1080p images will be upscaled thanks to supersampling. It’ll be the smallest Xbox One ever, and it has a ‘liquid cooled vapour chamber’, which just sounds awesome. It’ll be out on November 7th and will cost $499/£449.
Forza Motorsport 7 – Xbox One X gameplay footage was shown off for the next Forza title, and it looked bloody nice. It’ll be out on October 3rd.
Metro Exodus – 4A Games revealed a new game in the Metro franchise, and it looks just as post-apocalyptic and awesome as ever. It’ll be out at some point next year.
Assassin’s Creed Origins – After all the leaks, Assassin’s Creed Origins is finally a real thing. It looks like Assassin’s Creed, but better than ever. It’s got a better combat system, loot, and it looks absolutely beautiful. It’s coming on October 27th.
Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds – The battle royale game that’s taken PC gaming by storm is coming to Xbox One exclusively later this year.
