Doom arriving in May

The wait is almost over. Today, Bethesda has announced that the eagerly awaited reboot of Doom will launch worldwide across the PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 13th.

Promising a demon-filled single-player journey through hell as well as a host of heart pounding multiplayer modes, Doom will finally be in the hands of players around the world soon. One of the most iconic and influential game series’ ever created, this newest entry in the franchise may have reportedly had a development history full of turmoil, but it’s now looking on track to be bloody good fun. I know I’m eagerly looking forward to decimating some fantastically recreated Cacodemons anyway!

For those fans that like a bit of tatt with their game purchases, Bethesda is set to deliver. A collector’s edition of Doom will be available at launch including a 12” statue of the iconic Revenant demon, complete with a light up LED base and turbine for dramatic effect. Yours for just £99 (or $119.99), the collector’s edition also includes a copy of the game enclosed in a battle-worthy metal case; whatever that means.

As usual, anyone that pre-orders the game will also receive some bonus DLC. Bethesda is kind like that.
