Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 Now Available On PC, PS4 and Xbox One

Comic Con might be primarily all about comics, TV and movies, but that doesn’t mean we don’t occasionally get some juicy video game announcements thrown into the mix, too. At San Diego Comic Con last week, it was announced that Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 would be getting a re-release onto PC and current gen consoles. Both games are available from today on Steam and PS4, with Xbox One releases coming on Thursday.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance started life back in 2006 on PS2, PS3, Xbox and Xbox 360. It’s an action RPG that brings together a range of superheroes from across the Marvel universe. Like any good ARPG should, Ultimate Alliance can be played solo or co-op – both online and locally – with up to three other players.

The updated versions are faithful to the original releases, but performance has been improved, as well as some enhancements to the graphics and UI to bring Marvel Ultimate Alliance more in line with the modern era of gaming.

You can purchase the games separately on PS4, Xbox One and PC for $29.99/$39.99 each, or you can buy the Marvel Ultimate Alliance Bundle, containing both games, for $44.99/$59.99.

Nothing has been announced concerning a new Ultimate Alliance game, but with a re-release of these old titles, we have to wonder if Marvel do have something up their sleeve. When Mike Jones, executive producer of the game, was asked about a potential reboot of the franchise, he answered with a rather cryptic “Anything is possible, True Believers!”
