Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Added to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility List

Xbox One’s backwards compatibility feature made waves when it was unleashed last year, and since then Microsoft have continued to support the program by frequently adding new 360 titles available to play on your Xbox One. The latest to hit the line-up is Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

If you already own a digital copy of Blood Dragon on Xbox 360, you should now see the game available to download on your Xbox One. If you have a disc, you can pop it into your newest console and enjoy a trip down memory lane.

In case you’re not familiar with the title, Blood Dragon is a psychadelic 80’s inspired standalone expansion to Ubisoft’s Far Cry 3. First released in 2013, Blood Dragon took a comedic approach to the usually serious FPS nature of Far Cry. Playing as a cyber-soldier known as Rex, it’s your job to “get the girl, kill the bad guys and save the world”. Those are Ubisoft’s own official words, not ours.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is the newest game to enter the backwards compatibility catalogue, joining Mr. Driller Online, New Rally-X and NIN2-Jump that were all added last week.

There are now over 230 Xbox 360 titles compatible with Xbox One. For the full list of titles, see the official listing over on Major Nelson’s blog.
