South Park: The Fractured But Whole Delayed Until 2017

Disappointing news for South Park fans: Ubisoft announced yesterday that the upcoming South Park: The Fractured But Whole, originally set to release in December, will now be delayed until Q1 2017.

The news came from a very short post on Ubisoft’s official blog. The post states that the extra time will allow the development team to “make sure the game experience meets the high expectations of fans”.

It’s disappointing, but not all that surprising – especially considering just how many games are set to release in the lead up to Christmas, with Ubisoft themselves having winter sports-themed Steep and Assassin’s Creed: Ezio Trilogy releasing this period.

UK-based fans can try out South Park: The Fractured But Whole at next week’s EGX event, where the game will be available to demo, along with the “Nosulus Rift” hardware.

What’s Nosulus Rift, you ask? Well, have you ever wanted to actually smell those epic farts that you use to knock out your enemies? That’s what Nosulus Rift is for. No, seriously. It’s a genuine smell simulator developed by Ubisoft for exclusive use at events. As ridiculous (and horrifying) as it sounds, we can’t wait to try it out.
