Have you ever watched a documentary about the Pyramids and thought to yourself, “this is a cool setting, but it needs more shotguns“?
Well, no, me neither. But apparently, that’s exactly what the folks at CremaGames thought when they developed Immortal Redneck, a first person shooter set in the tombs and crypts of ancient Egypt.
Placing you in the shoes of a redneck tourist who inexplicably transports back to ancient times and finds himself amidst an army of monsters, all waiting to be defeated by his arsenal of weaponry. Immortal Redneck is a roguelike in the sense that dungeons are procedurally generated and your death is permanent, but thankfully does still have gameplay progression.
Immortal Redneck is set to release on PC this spring, with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions to follow later in the year. For more information, check out CremaGames’ official website.
