Personally, I wasn’t a massive fan of Slightly Mad Studios’ 2015 sandbox racing simulator Project CARS.
It had its merits, sure, but by laying out all of its cards on the table from the get-go it lacked the sense of progression that I yearn for in games. Also, the handling was a bit duff unless you had access to a steering wheel, at least at launch anyway.
Project CARS certainly had solid foundations though, and Slightly Mad Studio’s post launch support of the title has been nothing less than superb. That is why Project CARS 2, due out later this year, still has me interested. It promises over 200 tracks across 50 locations, 8 disciplines including Rallycross, in excess of 200 cars, and even a co-op career. What’s more, it’s set to look bloody nice too.
Coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC, check out the newly leaked trailer below so see just how Project CARS 2 is progressing. It’s not the best quality video, but I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s already looking very promising.
