In an earnings call, EA has confirmed that the next Star Wars Battlefront game will be released worldwide this holiday season.
As great as that news is though, it’s the other tidbits of information they’ve released about it that are more interesting. EA promises that the next Star Wars Battlefront “will be even bigger, taking players into more locations, and allowing them to play with more heroes and characters across multiple Star Wars eras.” It’s also specified that it will feature “an all-new single-player campaign, and much, much more that we are excited to share with our players in the months ahead.” Excited? You probably should be.
Released in 2015 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Star Wars Battlefront was fairly well received but players and critics alike weren’t all that impressed by its lack of content at launch. Thankfully the sequel sounds like it won’t suffer the same problem.
If you’re an EA Access member on Xbox One or PC, you can download Star Wars Battlefront from the vault and play it right now for free. You may as well get some practice in while you can, eh?
