Look How Beautiful Tequila Works’ RiME is

RiME has something of a long and rocky development process.

First shown off in 2013 as a PlayStation-exclusive title, little was heard of it for a few years. In 2016, developer Tequila Works announced that rights had been acquired back from Sony and would therefore be a multi-format title. Fast forward until now, and the game is finally just around the corner, releasing on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch on Friday.

Is it going to be worth the wait? Well, our full review will be coming tomorrow afternoon with more details, but until then all I can tell you is: RiME is bloody beautiful.

I’ve taken some – alright, a lot – of screenshots from RiME’s first area, and I think they speak for themselves. The game has a beautifully unique art style that never gets old, and one of the most gorgeous night skies I’ve ever seen. It’s all just mesmerising.

Have a look for yourself and marvel and RiME‘s beauty. These are all taken in the first 15-20 minutes of the game. Spoilers: it only gets more beautiful as you get further.
