Oceanhorn is Coming to PS Vita Very Soon

Oceanhorn 2

While Sony many have all but abandoned its once-brilliant handheld, some developers and publishers have refused to give up on the PS Vita and its fanbase.

FDG Entertainment is one of those publishers, sticking by its word to bring Oceanhorn: Monster of the Uncharted Seas to PlayStation Vita. It first announced the port back in September 2016, and little has been heard since, until today when the company announced that the Vita version has gone gold.

The release date hasn’t been announced just yet, but judging by Oceanhorn‘s gold status, it will be sometime in the next few weeks.

FDG has also confirmed that the PS Vita version of Oceanhorn is completely separate from the PS4 version. That means there’s no cross-save or cross-buy, but it does mean there’s a separate trophy list to be earned if you fancy double-dipping, as they say.

Sean reviewed the console version of Oceanhorn for us last year, and while he declared it a ‘fine’ game, he wasn’t overly enamoured with it. Having played the game myself, I can say it’s a very enjoyable little adventure. It’s no Breath of the Wild, sure, but it’s full of lovely environments to explore and lots of puzzles to solve. Let’s just not talk about that final boss.

It’ll make a great addition to the Vita library, that’s for sure.
