Content Boosting Super Bomberman R Patch Is Now Live

Super Bomberman R

Owners of Super Bomberman R will have a nice surprise waiting for them today, as a new patch has gone live for the Nintendo Switch game that adds a slew of new content.

Team Battles have been introduced for instance, allowing players to create their own teams to battle against other players from around the world. And alongside that, 4 new maps have been added for Battle Mode: Plain Floor, Desert Fort, Classic Conveyor Belt and Panic Factory. Not bad for free, huh? But then there’s more.

Three new characters have been added into the mix too: Silent Hill‘s Pyramid Head, Castlevania‘s Simon Belmont, and Gradius‘ Vic Viper, each with their own special ability. I honestly can’t wait to start bombing as Silent Hill’s iconic nightmare-monger.

The last bit of content thrown into Super Bomberman R is perhaps the least exciting; Snowflake and Item accessories, but hey, if customising your bombers floats your boat, you’ve now got more options than ever. Remember though, that a lot of this content needs to be unlocked by spending your hard-earned gems in the in-game shop.

Released in March, there’s never been a better time to pick up Super Bomberman R if you haven’t already got it. It’s available on Amazon right now for just under £40.
