It’s great when smaller independent studios do well for themselves.
VooFoo Studios, a Birmingham-based UK developer and publisher, has just celebrated its 10th birthday. Happy Birthday, VooFoo!
In that 10 years it’s had many successes in both publishing and developing – the most recent of which is their original IP, Mantis Burn Racing (which we reviewed last year, and absolutely loved). VooFoo is also known for publishing the popular ‘Pure’ series of games, including Pure Chess, Pure Hold’em, and Pure Pool.
In its 10 years of existence, VooFoo’s games have been downloaded over 5.5 million times – that’s a pretty impressive achievement!
We talked a little with VooFoo about what’s next on the cards for the studio, and while they were unable to reveal any details, they promised us that lots of exciting things are on the horizon, including brand new games and ongoing support for Mantis Burn Racing. In a statement, Mark Williams, the owner of VooFoo studios said, “With work underway on a new owned IP and exciting plans for Mantis Burn Racing, the future’s never looked brighter for the studio!”
We can’t wait to see what VooFoo have up their sleeves, and we look forward to more announcements from them later in the year. Here’s to another great 10 years!
