No Man’s Sky’s Latest Patch Improves its Story

Hello Games are continuing to create updates that bring players back to No Man’s Sky. Previously this was the Foundation and Path Finder updates, and this week Atlas Rises looks to have the same outcome.

Hello Games teased today that there will be an update to No Man’s Sky this week. Dubbed Atlas Rises update 1.3’s main goal will be to improve the central story of No Man’s Sky, and (hurrah!) adds quick travel between locations. We’ll be sure to update you when the patch notes go live – shortly before the update goes live. I imagine Atlas Rises will pull me back into No Man’s Sky just like Foundation and Path Finder did.

Recently Hello Games wanted to reach out to the devoted community of No Man’s Sky; to do this they created an ARG, Walking Titan, they state: “In the last eight weeks a quarter of a million players from across the globe (174 countries, to be precise!) have come together – united by a shared love of mystery and science fiction – to form the Citizen Science Division.”

To that devoted community Sean Murray also says: “You’ve become part of the No Man’s Sky origin story.”

If you want to read the history of Walking Titan – an ARG I didn’t know was a thing until a few days ago – then be my guest. It involved websites, phone numbers, and radio stations from across the globe.
