London-based band Daughter has recorded the soundtrack to Life is Strange: Before the Storm. It’s available as a standalone album today, and it’s well worth a listen.
Life is Strange was a runaway success when it released in 2015. Its prequel, that follows Chloe before her best friend Max arrived back into town, released yesterday. It’s filled with the same angst-filled teen problems that the first game showcased… just with less time travel.
Daughter worked very closely with the writers of Before the Storm to get the tone of the songs just right, and from what we’ve heard, they’ve absolutely nailed it.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm episode one is available now on PC, Xbox One and PS4. We’re yet to play it, but look out for our review early next week. I absolutely loved the first game, so I’m looking forward to seeing how new developer Deck Nine has continued with Dontnod’s vision.
