This week, Sony rolled out PlayStation 4 system update 5.0. Part of that update included support for ESL Team Tournaments.
It's pretty cool in that you can now create fully ranked and organised matches right from your PS4 menu. Unfortunately, only two games support it at launch. One is Uncharted 4's multiplayer mode, and the other is VooFoo Studio's Mantis Burn Racing.
Now, I love Mantis Burn. I'm just not sure I'm quite good enough to take on a league of rivals; I'll probably get my ass kicked and thrown out after the first round. But if you think you're up to the challenge and want the glory of winning an actual ESL tournament, now's your chance.
You can sign up right now for the first tournament, which is set to start tomorrow. For more information and to see a list of upcoming tournaments over the next few weeks, head over to the official ESL page.
Hopefully PS4's new tournament mode will be rolled out to more games soon, but for now, Mantis Burn Racing is a great way to start out. Why settle for racing against AI or ordinary folk online when you can quest for true tournament-winning glory?
