Here Are Some PC Games to Look Out For in 2018 and Beyond

We are in the penultimate month of 2017, and that means 2018 is approaching fast.

2017’s been a fantastic year for games, but it’s looking like 2018 will be just a good, with a brand new slew of video games to keep us enthralled and entertained. Here are just a handful of titles coming to PC over the next year that you should keep an eye on.

System Shock

You may undoubtedly have enjoyed System Shock when it was initially released in 1994 but over the next year, a remake will give players an opportunity to enjoy the game again – but with modern visuals and gameplay. System Shock received plenty of criticism along with praises during its initial release, but has still been enough of a success to warrant a Kickstarter remake. However, the game’s still in early development, so we have no fixed release date – and it may be 2019 or later by the time we finally see the finished game.

Project Phoenix

Creative Intelligence Arts are developing Project Phoenix which is slated for release in 2018. The developers have been inspired by several Japanese role-playing video games but unfortunately, not many details about the video game are available at this moment other than the fact that players will be unravelling a mystery of an angel with amnesia and not having access to free pokies.

Dual Universe

Dual Universe is an upcoming title which is not expected to be released before the end of 2017 because the developers are hoping to introduce an alpha version in 2018. This video game appears to be quite ambitious and even combines certain elements from the likes of Minecraft, No Man’s Sky and Star Citizens. Players will have an opportunity to share a massive single universe apart from creating ship scripts and constructs. This video game will focus on collective gameplay and also allow gamers to explore, mine, trade, craft and create politics within the game.

Code Vein

Code Vein, is an upcoming title being developed by Bandai Namco which was teased earlier this year. We saw a new trailer at the Tokyo Game Show, but details have so far been pretty sparse — besides the fact that it’s been touted as an “anime Dark Souls“. It’s a role-playing video game with action as its theme which is set in a post-apocalyptic world which has vampires flooding it. No release date has been specified, but we can expect to see Code Vein at some point in 2018.
