Games like Mario Kart 8 and LittleBigPlanet Karting are all well and good, but for those who like to play alone they’ve always been lacking something: a story.
Enigma Studios is hoping to rectify that problem with Mini Wheels; a new karting game that puts its story first.
In Mini Wheels you’ll find yourself helping Pipo – a lost toy trapped in a basement, whose wish is to once again be reunited with its owner. To do that you’ll have to race with other toys residing in various areas of the house, making friends and enemies along the way.
Of course, there’ll be more to Mini Wheels than just a single-player story mode though. Both local and online multiplayer action will be facilitated, and you’ll be able to customise the range of available karts too. Along with multiple event types and a range of power ups littering each track, Mini Wheels sounds like everything you’d expect from a karting game and more.
Due for release early next year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, Mini Wheels is a karting game we’re keen to keep our eyes on. Visit the game’s website, or check out the trailer below for a glimpse of what to expect from the title.
