Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection Coming to PC and Consoles in May

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection

Is there anyone out there that doesn’t like Street Fighter? Yeah, thought not.

Ever since Street Fighter II wowed gamers around the world while emptying their pockets of change in 1991, the Street Fighter franchise has been the pinnacle of competitive fighting games. It wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for 1987’s release of the original Street Fighter, however, which introduced us to fan favourites Ryu and Ken.

To celebrate 30 years of street fighting action Capcom has announced the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection. Set for release sometime in May 2018, it bundles up 12 iconic Street Fighter titles for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. The titles included are as follows:

  • Street Fighter
  • Street Fighter II
  • Street Fighter II: Champion Edition
  • Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting
  • Super Street Fighter II
  • Super Street Fighter II: Turbo
  • Street Fighter Alpha
  • Street Fighter Alpha 2
  • Street Fighter Alpha 3
  • Street Fighter III
  • Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact
  • Street Fighter III: Third Strike

Four of those games – Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Street Fighter III: Third Strike – will have online play as well as global leaderboards. And the collection will feature a Street Fighter museum too, containing character bios and much more.

If you’re a Street Fighter fan, the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is shaping up to be something you won’t want to miss. Give the trailer a watch below.
