Dark Souls 3 M5

The 5 Most Valuable Collector’s Edition PS4 Games

Nier: Automata – Black Box Edition

Nier Automata Black Box Edition New

Original RRP: £169.99

What it’s worth now: £250 – £400

What it includes:

  • Nier: Automata Game
  • SteelBook Case
  • Original Soundtrack
  • Hardback Artbook
  • YoRHa 2B Figurine
  • Collector’s Case
  • Bonus DLC

Exclusively sold via the Square Enix store, the Nier: Automata Black Box Edition seemed to be a tad expensive for its contents. Originally priced at £169.99, the only item of any real significance in its contents is the YoRHa 2B figurine, which is fantastic, but otherwise there isn’t that much to it. Still, Nier: Automata is a brilliant game, and so now it’s not unusual to see second-hand copies of the Black Box Edition going for £250+. There’s obviously a lot of fans wanting a quality 2B statue out there.

Dark Souls 3 – Prestige Edition

Dark Souls 3 Prestige Edition

What it’s worth now: £500 – £800

What it includes:

  • Dark Souls 3 Game
  • Metal Case

  • 3 Iron-on Patches
  • A4 Hardcover Artbook
  • 40cm Lord of Cinder Resin Figurine
  • 25cm Red Knight Figurine
  • Collector’s Box

Dark Souls 3 was always going to be a big release, so FromSoftware jumped on the opportunity and released not one but two collectors’s editions. The standard collector’s edition contains a Red Knight figurine and some other goodies and can now fetch around £200 if new. It’s the Prestige Edition of Dark Souls 3 that fans really wanted though.

The Prestige Edition had an RRP of £299.99 yet still pretty much sold out instantly on PlayStation 4. Why? Because it included a stunning 40cm tall resin statue of the Lord of Cinder. There were other fantastic goodies included too, of course, but the Lord of Cinder statue was obviously the main reason Dark Souls fans were willing to lay down the cash. It’s proved to be a good investment too, as the Dark Souls 3 Prestige Edition can now fetch more than £500 depending on condition.
