The Yakuza 6 Prologue Demo is Now Available

Originally slated for release in March before being delayed to April, Yakuza 6 is a title we’re very much looking forward to.

After battling our way through Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami, we’ve come to love the stern-faced Kiryu, and while Yakuza 6 is set to be the last game in which he stars, we’re sure he’s going to go out in fashion.

The good news is that while Yakuza 6 has been delayed until April, the 17th of April to be exact, a prologue demo has gone live on the PlayStation store that lets you get stuck into a small chunk of the game right now. The Yakuza 6 prologue demo is the size of the full game (a hefty 36.53 GB), so make sure you have enough hard drive space free for it, but any progress you make in the demo can be transferred to the full game when it is released.

You can transfer your story progress, sub-story progress, experience and stat gains, and even your inventory. The only thing you can’t do in the demo is earn trophies, but I’m pretty sure if you meet the criteria for any they’ll unlock when you purchase the full game. So what are you waiting for? Head on over to the PlayStation store and get crushing some skulls as Kiryu right now. There are far worse ways to spend a Tuesday.

And if you’ve not yet preordered Yakuza 6 there’s still plenty of time to do so. There are a limited number of “The Essence of Art” copies still available featuring over 20 pieces of beautiful art from the Yakuza community. Head on over to Amazon to be in with a chance of securing one.
