If you’re an avid Dragon’s Crown fan, you might be considering picking up the enhanced version for PlayStation 4 tomorrow.
The good news is, any progress you’ve made in either the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita version of Dragon’s Crown can be easily transferred into Dragon’s Crown Pro, allowing you to continue where you left off. And it’s very easy to do.
To continue your Dragon’s Crown adventure on PlayStation 4 with your old save data, first you’ll need to upload your progress to the cloud. That means booting up the game on either PlayStation 3 or Vita and hitting the upload save data button on the main menu. Be aware that you may need to update the game for the upload save data option to appear.
Once that’s done, boot up Dragon’s Crown Pro and hit the download save data option on the main menu. In fact, if it’s your first time booting Dragon’s Crown Pro up, it will even prompt you to download data. Once downloaded, that’s it, you can now play with all your old characters, and you won’t have lost any progress. It’s easy. And even better, you don’t need an active PlayStation Plus subscription to do it, although you do to play in online co-op.
If you’ve previously uploaded your save data, you probably won’t even need to boot up a previous version of the game. The last time I played Dragon’s Crown was a good three or four years ago, but upon loading up Dragon’s Crown Pro my save was there ready to be downloaded, which was a nice surprise.
