It may have been short and simple, but I absolutely adored Cat Quest.
When its developer The Gentlebros announced its sequel earlier this spring, I was genuinely excited. Now, the first trailer has dropped and with it some new details of the game have been revealed. I’m even more excited than before.
Cat Quest II looks exactly like Cat Quest. But that’s a good thing. If something isn’t broke, don’t fix it, am I right? But it seems to have one major addition: Cat Quest II has co-op gameplay.
That’s right – you can now go questing with a cat buddy in tow. The trailer gives us a glimpse of two feline pals traversing the map together, so presumably the whole game can be played with two players.
The trailer also confirms that Cat Quest II will be releasing on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch. Xbox One players never got the first game, so it’s great to see this one getting a release. Hopefully that means we might see the first Cat Quest game hit the store sometime before the sequel’s release… I can hope, at least.
Cat Quest II is set to release in early 2019.
