Divinity: Original Sin 2 Gets Native 4K and HDR on Xbox One X

Xbox One X owners are in for pleasant surprise if they own the preview version of Divinity: Original Sin 2.

Set to go live on Thursday 19th July, the latest update for the title will add Xbox One X support in the form of native 4K resolution and HDR. Don’t fret though standard Xbox One owners, the update will bring some benefits for you too.

Alongside better performance, bug fixes and UI improvements, Thursday’s update for Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition will also add achievements and hero stats. See, there really is something for everyone.

Set for full release on PS4 and Xbox One on 31st August after finding success on PC, Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition looks set to offer console gamers a superb RPG experience when it launches. It will feature split-screen co-op as well as a host of new systems developed for console. Furthermore, the game’s third chapter has been completely rewritten, so players can immerse themselves into the story whether they’ve previously played the game or not.

Players can pre-order the game now on PS4, or purchase the preview version on Xbox One which will upgrade to the full version upon release. Those that do so will net themselves the Sir Lora DLC at launch featuring a brand new squirrel companion. So, go nuts!
