If you haven’t yet purchased Middle-earth: Shadow of War, your patience might have just been rewarded.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that the title is to receive a Definitive Edition release, containing the main game and all post-release DLC. Plus, since release, the game has had plenty of free updates to make the game better too, including one which removed all of the game’s microtransactions.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War Definitive Edition will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC from 28th August in America, and from 31st August in the UK. It will carry an RRP of £49.99/$59.99. If you’re planning on buying it physically to avoid having to rely on your internet to download it, however, be warned that only the main game is included on the disc; you’ll have to download any additional content beyond that. And there’s quite a bit.
Both the Slaughter Tribe and Outlaw Tribe nemesis expansions are included, as well as the Blade of Galadriel and Desolation of Mordor story expansions. Along with the improvements made since the game’s launch, those playing Middle-earth: Shadow of War for the first time with the Definitive Edition are in for a long and entertaining ride.
