Learn the Lore With the Game of Thrones Podcast w/Preston Jacobs

For this week’s Podcast of the Week, I recommend the ultimate podcast for Game of Thrones nerds: the unimaginatively named Game of Thrones Podcast w/Preston Jacobs.

I recently read the saga that is A Song of Ice and Fire. I was not disappointed. George R. R. Martin blew me away with the endless amounts of lore and history he filled his books with. Every line is jam-packed with information, hinting at some character’s secret hidden motive that is just waiting to be revealed down the line. With so much to dive into, some people have then the initiative to come up with all sorts of theories to the goings on of our favourite movers and shakers.

Podcast of the Week: Game of Thrones Podcast w/Preston Jacobs

What is it? A series of intriguing discussions into the lore of Game of Thrones
Where can I listen? They are searchable in most podcast apps or the recordings are listed here
Who does it star? YouTubers Preston Jacobs and Carmine
Where can I find out more? Your best bet is iTunes, where each episode has a detailed description.

Two such people are Carmine and Preston Jacobs, two fairly well-known Game of Thrones experts. These two have thankfully decided to team up and release a podcast that discuss their wonderful insights to the series. Preston Jacobs normally takes the lead with his unchallenged knowledge of Martin’s work, using it to formulate opinions and hypotheses that you will reluctantly agree too. While Carmine brings out his humour and wit and often challenges Preston in ways who wouldn’t expect, making the two a great pair.

And it isn’t just the books that get this treatment but the TV series too. Discussions on the direction the series is taking and evaluations of characters’ motives and actions are a-plenty. You might not always agree with the pair but you will be intrigued nonetheless. If you love Game of Thrones and want to uncover the world then this is the podcast for you.

It is well worth listening to before the final season begins next year!
