Not much has been given away about the nature of Call of Cthulhu, but if Cyanide Studios are able to recreate a smidgen of the tension of its source material then we are in for a gruesome time.
Adapted both from the classic H.P Lovecraft novel and the brilliant live role-playing game, Call of Cthulhu is attempting to bring the survival horror back to the gothic tradition of the late 19th century. Hopefully we are transported to a world of classic horror with nothing but our fading sanity as the game plays out like an old Edgar Allan Poe short-story. It releases the day before Halloween so hopefully it is worth being on this list.
