The latest addition to the Assassin’s Creed Franchise is here. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is massive, and you’ll want to make sure you save your game regularly as to not lose any progress.
Seriously, it’s huge. Set in ancient Greece, you’ll take on the role of either Alexios or Kassandra. With a massive narrative to work through and a wealth of side missions to complete across a sprawling, beautiful landscape, prepare to spend dozens of hours with the game. But as with any game this big, making sure you save your progress regularly is important. Here’s everything you need to know about saving your game in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Thankfully, Odyssey has that all important feature we all love: autosave. If you’ve just completed a mission or hit an important beat in the story, you won’t have to worry; autosave will take care of your progress. But it’s always better to be safe than sorry, and for that reason, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey also has a manual save function, too.
How to manually save your game in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
Accessing the save menu in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is pretty simple once you know where to find it. Hitting the menu button (options on PS4) will bring up your in-game menu. From there, pressing ‘left’ on the d-pad will take you to the game options menu.
The game options menu is where you’ll access audiovisual options and adjust game settings, but there’s also ‘load’ and ‘save’ options on there. Use your left analogue stick to move the cursor over to ‘Save’, and select it. From there, you can choose a save slot (or create a new one). Voila – now your game is safely saved wherever you left it!
There’s also a ‘quick save’ option which can be accessed directly from the in-game menu. Hit Menu/Options, and on there, pressing ‘up’ on the d-pad will initiate a quick save.
And there you have it: your progress is saved in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Have fun adventuring!
