When you start out in Starlink: Battle For Atlas, you can only hold up to five of one item at any one time. Here’s how you upgrade your inventory to hold more items.
Thankfully, you can upgrade your storage pretty early on in Starlink, so you don’t have to worry about not having much space for very long. Storage is actually classed as an Equinox upgrade – an upgrade that’s available from the main menu, along with many other things that affect your ship and the whole of Starlink.
Follow these simple steps to upgrade your inventory in Starlink:
- Head to the main menu, and use your shoulder buttons to navigate to the ‘Equinox’ menu.
- Select ‘Freight &Cargo’.
- In here, purchase ‘Super Tracker’. You’ll need this in order to unlock further upgrades in the category, which include inventory upgrades. This one will cost 5,000 Electrum – the game’s currency, along with one Nova – essentially an upgrade token.
- Once you’ve unlocked Super Tracker, you can then purchase ‘Storage Bays’. This costs 30,000 Electrum and three Nova. This increases your storage capacity from five of each item to 20.
The Storage Bays upgrade gives you ample inventory space – you’ll rarely need more than that, but should you want to make sure you have more space, there are two further upgrades available. But be warned – they’re pretty expensive, so you’ll need to save up. In the same ‘Freight &Cargo’ menu, you’ll find ‘Dimensional Pocket’, and ‘Spacefolding’, which will increase your inventory in Starlink to 50 and 99 respectively.
Dimensional Pocket costs 105,000 Electrum and six Nova. Before you can unlock ‘Spacefolding’, you’ll also need to unlock ‘Ultratractor’, a skill that makes it easier to pluck objects, which costs 230,000 Electrum and eight Nova. So if you want to max out your inventory space, you’ll need to gather a lot of Nova first.
