PlayStation Classic’s Full 20 Game Lineup Announced

Sony has officially announced their PlayStation Classic’s full list of games and… well, it’s just okay.

Much like Nintendo’s Classic Mini NES and SNES, Sony revealed last month that they would be releasing a mini PlayStation One for £90/$100 on December 3rd, 2018 with 20 games pre-loaded onto the console. Fans excited about the console speculated about what the 20 games might be and, now that we’ve got our answer, more than a few of us are disappointed.

Here is the full list of titles:

  • Battle Arena Toshinden
  • Cool Boarders 2
  • Destruction Derby
  • Final Fantasy VII
  • Grand Theft Auto
  • Intelligent Qube
  • Jumping Flash
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Mr Driller
  • Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee
  • Rayman
  • Resident Evil Director’s Cut
  • Revelations: Persona
  • Ridge Racer Type 4
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
  • Syphon Filter
  • Tekken 3
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six
  • Twisted Metal
  • Wild Arms

One of the biggest complaints about this list is the exclusion of Crash Bandicoot as it is arguably one of the best PlayStation games of all time. After the release of the N. Sane Trilogy last year, many players wanted to get their hands on the original once again. Along with this, players find that the console is missing some other truly valuable titles such as Spyro the Dragon, Tomb Raider, or Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

Of course, we can’t expect Sony to be able to please everyone with their choices, and there will definitely be some disappointed fans, but the PlayStation Classic’s pre-orders are already coming through in huge waves.

You can preorder now from Amazon UK, and we’d wager you’d better act fast because these babies are going to be under every gamer’s Christmas tree despite the mediocre games list, no doubt about it.
