Rocket League Getting Xbox One X Support in December

Rocket League 1-min

Still playing Rocket League on Xbox One? Of course you are! And in December you’re likely to find yourself playing it a bit more if you’re the owner of an Xbox One X.

Announced via the game’s website, an update planned to arrive early in December will finally add Xbox One X support. But what will it do? Well, it’ll allow you to play the game at 4K resolution and 60 frames-per-second. It’ll also enable HDR too. Needless to say, Rocket League is going to look, and play, great on Xbox One X.

That’s not all that’s coming to Rocket League in December though; a new Rocket Pass and in-game event are also set to appear. Rocket Pass 2 will come with a bevvy of items, and more premium licensed DLC will arrive alongside it. While Frosty Fest 2018 will allow you to earn Snowflakes by playing matches online, which you can then redeem for Christmas-themed goodies. Frosty Fest start and end dates will be announced a little later in the year.

Remember, Rocket League is currently included in Xbox Game Pass, so if you haven’t played it yet why not make use of the 14-day free trial and give it a go. It’s highly likely that cross-play with PS4 will be enabled in the near future too, ensuring that there’ll always be competitors for you to test your skills against.
