God Eater 3 Gets New Trailer and Gameplay Details

Today, Bandai Namco has revealed new story details, gameplay features, and a new character for the upcoming God Eater 3.

In God Eater 3, the game’s protagonist is rescued by the crew of an Ash Crawler – a hub ship – called Chrysanthemum. The crawlers are covered with Anti-Aragami walls which protect humanity from the outside world as well as housing Resonance Radars which seek out and destroy dangerous Aragami.

After a particularly powerful and devastating Ash Storm, the crew of the Chrysanthemum lose some of their members that were specially trained to handle the Resonance Radars. In order to survive, the crew must enlist the help of players to defeat the Aragami and restore routes through the Ashlands.

A new character was also revealed today: Phym, a mysterious girl who sports a horn on her forehead. She’s a vital part of God Eater 3’s story, and when the protagonist meets her during a scouting mission, their encounter will change both their lives forever.

The final bit that was released today was some gameplay details for the game. The “Burst Arts” special attack system is a move that players may only use in Burst Mode. Using Burst Arts, players will be able to form their own playstyle by choosing attacks perfect for their given situation.

Along with all of the new game details, God Eater 3 also got a new trailer featuring the song Stereo Future by Kenta Matsukuma and performed by punk rock band BiSH.
