It feels like its been forever, but Overkill’s The Walking Dead is finally out. But only on PC for now.
Overkill, a Starbreeze Studio, has released its version of The Walking Dead on Steam for $59.99/£46.49. The standard version of the game features all episodes from the games’ first two seasons of content, and a Deluxe Edition is available which also contains the Night Raid Collection cosmetic DLC, a digital art book, and the soundtrack for $79.99/£62.99.
Overkill’s The Walking Dead is a four-person co-op shooter where players are given a variety of missions to find survivors, gather supplies and survive the harsh world of The Walking Dead. Use stealth if you want to avoid the fight, or aggressively dismember the undead with brute force. Each playable character has their own set of unique abilities, upgrades, play styles, and background stories.
Players will be teaming up in Washington D.C. The first 10 episodes feature new areas of the city to explore as well as new characters and weapons. The second season will launch with the game’s first content update later this month.
If you’d like to see some coverage of the game, in collaboration with RED Productions, Starbreeze will be hosting “Streaming Dead Live” today (November 6) at 10pm GMT/5pm ET over at twitch.tv/starbreeze. This event will feature guests, gameplay, giveaways, and a new cinematic trailer.
Overkill’s The Walking Dead is available today on PC and is set to launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in February 2019. For more information check out their official website.
