Elite Dangerous is getting its biggest update of the year.
Frontier Developments announced today that Elite Dangerous: Beyond – Chapter Four will be launching December 11th. Chapter Four is going to be the final chapter in Beyond and is packed with new content, available completely free for all Elite Dangerous Commanders on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Some of the new content includes a new Analysis mode, with improved Exploration Discovery Scanner, and Detailed, which will allow a brand new way to explore the galaxy. Players will be able to tune their scanners to find phenomena in a more realistic, engaging exploration experience.
Players can also look forward to new mining gear where miners can investigate rings in order to locate the best spots to start their mining sessions. Squadrons is a new way of uniting Commanders together to support factions of their choice and take part in community goals together.
In addition to all of that new content, Chapter Four of Beyond will also feature a new light engine, visual improvements, background simulation updates, and cockpit interface changes to improve flying experience.
