The streaming platform Twitch, which was launched in 2011, made its way into the spotlight this past year as a mainstream form of entertainment.

With the site gaining more popularity, more and more gaming streamers, have too. To broaden your horizons or to delve into the world of watching streams, the following is a list of the five Twitch streamers to watch in 2019.

Ninja

With over 11 million followers, Twitch streamer Tyler Blevins, more commonly known as Ninja, is the platform’s biggest star. If you’re not watching him yet, you should start. Tyler was formerly a professional Halo gamer. The team he was part of, Renegades, placed 5th-8th in the Halo World Championship in 2016.

He’s very active on his channel, streaming up to 80 hours every week. He also has collaborated with celebrities such as Drake and Marshmello. With such a successful year, you can only hope to catch a glimpse of what Ninja does in 2019. He earns over $500,000 every month from streaming alone.

Shroud

Michael Grzesiek, aka Shroud, has been known in the gaming world for quite some time now. He recently retired from the gaming group Cloud9, where he professionally played Counter-Strike. The departure hasn’t lessened anyone’s interest in the player. Shroud’s Twitch channel has over 4 million followers, and he’s gained a reputation for being one of the most entertaining streamers on the scene. Michael plays an average of 50 hours a week. You can find him typically playing popular games, such as H1Z1, Tom Clancy’s The Division, The Culling, and PUBG. TimTheTatMan

TimTheTatMan, aka Timothy John Betar, has more than 2 million followers on his channel. He’s a full-time streamer who plays a wide range of games. Some of the most notable of these games include World of Warcraft, Fortnite, and Counter-Strike 1.6. Tim has been streaming his gaming on Twitch since 2012. His channel often features his wife, and he’s known to be very interactive with his viewers. Besides having a regular streaming schedule set, he also uses fairly clean language, which is great for younger audiences.

Pokimane

Born in Morocco as Imane Anys, Pokimane is currently a Canadian-based gamer. Imane is one of the highest globally ranked female Twitch streamers at the moment. She’s become known for playing popular games like League of Legends and Fortnite. Imane is still a rising internet star, and there’s no telling where she’ll stop. She currently has around 2 million followers on Twitch and is spreading her love of gaming by streaming at events like the Teen Choice Awards and working with popular YouTube channels.

Nightblue3

Rabia Yazbek is more commonly known for playing the Jungle position for SoloMid as Nightblue3. Based in Michigan, Rabia has been playing LoL for over seven years. He was one of the first professional players to stream his gameplay, which is what originally attracted people to follow. However, his over 2 million followers have stayed thanks to his constant interactions and advice to help others advance their own gameplay.


Twitch has come a long way since its creation, and the content creators on the platform are finally getting recognition after years of hard work. Don’t think this is the peak for Twitch.
