Guacamelee 2 is Coming to Xbox One on January 18th

Guacamelee 2 3

Following its release on PS4 and Switch last summer, Guacamelee! 2 is set to release on Xbox One later this month.

Developer Drinkbox Studios has announced it’ll be landing on Microsoft’s console on January 18th players. And, if you pre-order now, you’ll receive 20% off.

When we reviewed Guacamelee! 2 back in August last year we gave it a standing ovation – and a not-to-be-sniffed-at 9/10 – saying, “If you enjoyed the original Guacamelee!, this sequel is an absolute must. It’s not going to particularly surprise you in any way, but it’s certainly going to have you grinning from ear to ear as you play. Also, if you liked the original Guacamelee! but found its platforming and bosses a little too hard in the latter stages, you’ll find Guacamelee! 2 to be much more enjoyable.”

Both of Guacamelee! 2’s DLC packs, Three Enemigos and Proving Grounds, will be available for launch as well, although will need to be purchased separately.

Guacamelee! 2 will also be an Xbox Anywhere title meaning that one purchase will allow you to play on an Xbox One console and on a Windows PC. It also supports cross-saves between the two.

Becca knew that she would be addicted to video games for the rest of her life when she saw the first pixelated zombie shambling across her TV screen while playing Resident Evil 3. She particularly enjoys being scared, laughing until she cries, or just plain crying while experiencing games. When she isn't playing games she loves spoiling her cat Usagi and eating any kind of sushi she can find.
