The Switch’s library of games is already an incredible vault of indie games, but it’s about to get even better.
Today, Nintendo released a new Indie Highlights video that showcased a number of indie games that will be coming to Switch in 2019 (and a couple that have already landed). Some of the announcements we already knew – like that Wargroove is on its way – but others are new.
The 15-minute stream highlighted nine titles, showing us glorious-looking trailers for each of them. Here’s the full list of the games, along with the dates of when we can expect them:
- Wargroove – 1st February
- Double Kick Heroes – summer
- When Ski Lifts Go Wrong – available now
- Forager – soon
- Goat Simulator: The GOATY – available now
- Inmost – coming 2019
- Unruly Heroes – available now
- CrossCode – 2019
- Steamworld Quest – 2019.
We’ve covered Double Kick Heroes before, when it released on PC last year. A metal rhythm game about surviving in a post-apocalyptic world, it’s a hell of a lot of fun, so we’re excited about playing it again on Switch. Of the new games we saw, Inmost looks most impressive; a horror-inspired adventure with beautiful pixel art. We’re looking forward to hearing more about that.
You can watch the Showcase yourself below. We’ll have more coverage on the games featured soon.
