Everything Announced During Last Night’s Nintendo Direct

Last night marked the first Nintendo Direct of 2019 – and it was a good one. 35 minutes packed full of new announcements, games coming soon, and even some surprises dropping straight onto the eShop. If you missed it, here’s everything that was announced.

  • Super Mario Maker 2 is coming to Switch in June 2019.
  • Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is coming to Switch this summer.
  • Dragon Quest Builders 2 is releasing on Switch on 12th July.
  • BoxBoy! + BoxGirl! is coming to Switch on 26th April.
  • Disney Tsum Tsum Festival is a cute party game coming at some point this year.
  • A new trailer for Fire Emblem: Three Housescoming on 26th July.
  • A cool-looking action game from Platinum, Astral Chain, is coming to Switch on 30th August.
  • Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is coming to Switch this Summer.
  • Yoshi’s Crafted World got a new demo added to the eShop.
  • Dragon Quest XI is coming to Switch this autumn in the form of a Definitive Edition.
  • Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is getting a free co-op update and new DLC.
  • Oninaki is a brand new RPG from the team behind I Am Setsuna. It looks great, and is coming this summer.
  • Tetris 99, a Tetris-meets-Battle Royale game, dropped instantly onto the eShop, free to play for Switch Online members.
  • Deltarune, the follow up to Undertale, is coming to Switch on 28th February.
  • Daemon X Machina has a demo now available on the eShop.
  • Rune Factory 4 is coming to Switch later this year, and Rune Factory 5 is currently in development.
  • GRID Autosport is coming to Switch this summer.
  • Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is coming to Switch this spring.
  • Unravel Two is coming to Switch on 22 March.
  • More Star Fox content is coming to the Switch version of Starlink: Battle for Atlas
  • Dead By Daylight is coming to Switch this autumn.
  • Final Fantasy IX is available right now on the eShop, and Final Fantasy VII is coming on 26th March.
  • Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy is coming to Switch on 20th March.
  • The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is being remade in cute, glorious 3D, coming to Switch later this year.
