How to Make Use of Unlimited Restarts in DiRT Rally 2.0

Dirt Rally 2 4

DiRT Rally 2.0 is hard. No doubt about it.

As you make your way through the game’s career, you’ll turn the air blue time and time again as you fly off the track and into a tree, taking you from first to last place in an instant. And to make matters worse, you only get five restarts per rally, which means eventually you might have to start living with your mistakes.

Only you don’t. If you don’t mind cheating, there’s a way to restart individual events without having to use one of your valuable restart tokens. Interested? Read on.

DiRT Rally 2.0 autosaves at the start of each event. It means that should you mess up, you can simply quit the game and then reload it to try again. To do that, just bring up the dashboard on PS4 and Xbox One, close the game from there, then launch DiRT Rally 2.0 again. Though to save time, we recommend you use your restarts first, then use this trick when you’re about to run out of them.

Try it. Start a new career event with five whole restarts available, restart a few times, quit to the dashboard, and then reload the game. You’ll see that you’re able to continue with your five restarts restored. We don’t usually condone cheating in games, but DiRT Rally 2.0 is a tough cookie, and you’re going to need all the help you can get unless you’re a rally pro.
