For those of us still chugging along with Pokémon GO, Niantic has a lovely announcement.
Niantic Inc. and The Pokémon Company International announced today that GO Snapshot, a new augmented reality photography feature is coming soon to Pokémon GO. The new enhanced AR feature will turn the real world into a canvas for trainers where they can easily take photos of Pokémon and share their adventures with friends. GO Snapshot leverages AR technology to better see and understand the way a smartphone sees the world in real time.
GO Snapshot will allow players to use their smartphones to pose and take pictures of their favourite Pokémon in the real world. Once a trainer selects a Pokémon and scans their real-world surrounding, they can select a position of the Pokémon where they will appear to scale on their smartphones. Then trainers can interact with the Pokémon to get their attention and pose them in unique ways to capture the photo.
GO snapshot will be launching soon to Pokémon GO so keep an eye out trainers!
