Wondering how you can use Devil May Cry 5’s dodge move to avoid enemy attacks? Here’s how.
Devil May Cry 5 is a silly game, crammed with all manner of gravity-defying fighting moves. But the game’s most useful move, the sideways dodge, is also the simplest. Here’s how to do it:
- Hold down the right shoulder button on your controller.
- Then, hit A and at the same time, push the left joystick left to dodge left and right to dodge right.
You can actually hit all three at the same time but given that the right shoulder button activates lock on, it’s handy to keep your finger on that button when fighting powerful foes.
If you’re playing as Dante or Nero you can use this move to dodge most medium to long range enemy attacks. Some enemies have an attack that sweeps from left to right along the ground, in which case dodging is less useful and you’re better off jumping.V also has a dodge but it’s a bit mediocre.
But when you’re in danger of being incinerated by an enemy’s lava vomit, Devil May Cry 5’s dodge will be your best friend.
