With The Division 2 being a online co-op shooter, chances are you’re going to want to play it with your friends.
Thankfully its pretty easy to do, and you can team up with up to three other people.
You can start playing The Division 2 with your friends as soon as you’ve completed the game’s introductory sequence. All you need to do is bring up the in-game menu and head on over to the social tab. From there, you can either invite players to your group who are on your friends list or in the same clan as you, or possibly join a friend who’s already playing.
The social tab also allows you to manage any game invites you have received. So if a friend has invited you into their game, that’s the place the go.
By default, your friends are able to join your game without an invite. If you’d like to prevent your friends from joining you so easily for some reason, you can make your session private within the social tab by pressing X on Xbox One or Square on PS4 and making your session private. Then, the only players who can join you are those you invite. You can also make your session open, too, allowing anyone to join your team either via matchmaking or when they’re close by. Find the privacy setting that works best for you.
