Capcom Home Arcade Revealed

Capcom Home Arcade (1)

If you fondly remember feeding arcade games all of the change in your pocket on a regular basis, you’re probably going to be interested in the Capcom Home Arcade.

Set for release on 25th October, Capcom Home Arcade is a USB powered plug and play system like you’ve never seen before. Basically two full-size arcade sticks joined together, it’s emblazoned with Capcom’s logo and looks very glossy. And it’s not cheap tat either; the sticks and buttons are by Sanwa, which means they’re precise and durable. Though that explains the price, which is a hefty £199.99/$229.99.

Of course, the sticks and buttons are useless unless there are games to use them with. Thankfully, Capcom Home Arcade comes with 16 arcade classics pre-installed. Original Capcom arcade ROMS combined with emulation provided exclusively by FBAlpha will hopefully deliver authentic arcade experiences, though the proof will be in the playing.

You’ll be able to play the games included in the Capcom Home Arcade alone or in co-op. Some will even let you go head-to-head. And thanks to on-board WiFi, your high-scores can be uploaded to see how your performance compares to the rest of the world. Needless to say, for fans of Capcom’s great arcade games, it’s going to be great.

Without further ado, the games included in the Capcom Home Arcade are:

  • 1944: The Loop Master
  • Alien vs Predator
  • Armored Warriors
  • Capcom Sports Club
  • Captain Commando
  • Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness
  • Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
  • Eco Fighters
  • Final Fight
  • Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
  • Giga Wing
  • Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting
  • Mega Man: The Power Battle
  • Progear
  • Strider
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo

We think you’ll agree that it’s a pretty great lineup. Want to secure yourself a Capcom Home Arcade for launch? You can preorder it right now from a range of retailers including Amazon. Also, you can check out a trailer for the Capcom Home Arcade below.
