Are you getting a kick out of Mortal Kombat 11 but want to humiliate your human opponents a little more? Here’s how to perform a “mercy”.
The ability to show mercy, restoring some of your opponent’s energy, isn’t a trademark feature of the Mortal Kombat series in the same way that fatalities are. But it’s still a fun way to humiliate an opponent a second time – or to be humiliated when they fight back and defeat you. Here’s how to show your opponent mercy in Mortal Kombat 11.
- Beat your opponent and to get the Finish Him message (so you can’t do this in Story Mode)
- Stand mid-range distance away from your opponent.
- Hold down the “flip stance” button which is L2 on the PS4 and Xbox One.
- Press down three times.
- Release the L2 button.
Hey presto, your opponent is back in the fight, with some of their energy restored. They also may be able to perform a hugely damaging Fatal Blow so be careful. But if you really want to crush your opponents in Mortal Kombat 11 it’s a risk you’ll have to take.
