More games for the SEGA Mega Drive Mini? Yes, please.
It has been about a month since we got news about some of the games that will be available for the SEGA Mega Drive Mini (or Genesis Mini for those of you who are stateside). Sounds to us like it’s time for more.
Capcom – yes, Capcom – is behind today’s announcement of games coming to the Mini, which means the company is raiding its back catalogue to fill up the retro console. The big announcement includes Mega Man: The Wily Wars, a compilation of the first three Mega Man entries. Along with this is Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition.
Here’s the full list of the 10 games announced:
- Mega Man: The Wily Wars
- Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition
- Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
- Beyond Oasis
- Golden Axe
- Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millenium
- Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball
- Vectorman
- Wonder Boy in Monster World
If you prefer your Mega Drive/Genesis controllers with six buttons, you’ll be pleased to know that there’s also a 6-button controller launching in late August. From Retro-Bit, it’ll cost £17.99 and will give players a huge advantage in Street Fighter, Comix Zone and Beyond Oasis.
The SEGA Mega Drive Mini is set to release September 19, 2019 with 40 games included on the system. We now know about 30 of them, so I wonder what the last 10 will be…
