Summer of Pride Gaming Event Starts Today

Wishing everyone a Happy Pride Month!

A lovely event celebrating pride in gaming on Twitch kicks off today.

MidBoss, developer of the cyberpunk adventure 2064: Read Only Memories is hosting a month-long festival which will spotlight queer games and content creators. Throughout the month of June, streamers will be playing games with LGBTQIA+ themes and storylines, sharing and celebrating queer narratives.

Summer of Pride will feature Dragon Age: Inquisition, Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator, Life is Strange, Undertale, Night in the Woods, The Yawhg, Heaven Will Be Mine and Ticket to Earth. All of these alongside the previously announced Gone Home, Tacoma, 2064: Read Only Memories, Another Lost Phone and more.

Nikatine, Deere and SuperxInvader will join content creator 8-bit Dylan in streaming the games. Throughout the streams these and other creators will share their perspectives, discussing queer and other diverse content creators’ place in the gaming community.

You can see a full list of the games, streamers and the schedule now on the Summer of Pride website.

Have a good pride month everyone!

Becca knew that she would be addicted to video games for the rest of her life when she saw the first pixelated zombie shambling across her TV screen while playing Resident Evil 3. She particularly enjoys being scared, laughing until she cries, or just plain crying while experiencing games. When she isn't playing games she loves spoiling her cat Usagi and eating any kind of sushi she can find.
