Looks like we’ve got a lot of games to look forward to thanks to THQ Nordic.
We’ve caught a glimpse of THQ Nordic’s latest financial briefing, revealing some very interesting information about its upcoming games lineup (via Gamesradar). You can see the slide that’s caught our attention below:
There’s quite a lot of interesting information to take in there, but most notably is the news that the company has 80 projects in progress currently, 48 of which are as of yet unannounced. Those unannounced projects include games from Warhorse (Kingdom Come Deliverance), Volition (Saints Row), Coffee Stain (Goat Simulator) and 4A Games (Metro). We’ve got a feeling that Volition project might just be a new Saints Row game – fingers crossed.
The briefing also includes the confirmation that the long-absent Dead Island 2 is still in development. There’s no timescale of the selected projects outlined on THQ Nordic’s presentation, but considering all of the other games listed – including Wasteland 3, Shenmue III and Desperados III – are all slated for a 2019 release date, Dead Island 2 could be sooner than we think.
With E3 fast approaching, there’s sure to be more reveals and more announcements coming up, but Dead Island 2 is a big one. Considering it has been so long since the first instalment, players were giving up hope that the sequel would ever see the light of day. Let’s hope we get an update next month during E3.
