Final Fantasy VII is getting a glam up – and it finally has a launch date
Supposed to be part of its E3 2019 conference tonight, news leaked early about Final Fantasy VII Remake‘s launch date, pushing the company to make an official announcement.
As of this morning, Square Enix has unveiled that the Final Fantasy VII Remake will be heading to PlayStation 4 on March 3rd, 2020. There’s no word on other formats as of yet, and this is believed to be the release date of part one of an episodic series – although how many episodes we can expect and how far apart they’ll be spaced is yet to be announced.
Final Fantasy VII Remake tells the story of a world fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a corporation that controls the life force of the planet. In the city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organisation that calls themselves Avalanche has recently stepped up its resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite soldier unit now turned mercenary, offers to help out the group.
