If you’re playing Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, you really don’t want to lose your progress.
For that reason, you should make sure you save your game as often as you can. But just how do you save your game in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night?
If you go into the game’s menus, you’ll find that that there isn’t an option to save your game anywhere, and that’s because you need to visit a save room to record your progress in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. On your mini-map, save rooms are coloured red. Simply go into one and press up when stood in front of the couch and that’s it, your progress is saved. Rather handily, visiting a save room also replenishes your health and MP as well.
Generally you’ll find at least one save room in each area of the game, so you shouldn’t ever be too far away from one. If you do get caught short, however, or are very low on health and don’t have any potions, it’s probably wise to use a Waystone which will return you to the safe house in Arvantville. There you can save your game and stock up on supplies. It’s usually better returning to there than dying and losing progress.
