Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection, Castlevania Anniversary Collection and Contra Anniversary Collection – three great retro compilations recently released that all pretty much share the same issues.
And most of them have now been fixed by patches that have gone live in the last few days.
The Japanese versions of the games included in each collection have now been added, giving players yet another reason to keep going back to them. Those who do might find that there are some pretty considerable differences, too. Even better though, players are now able to remap the buttons for games in both Castlevania Anniversary Collection and Contra Anniversary Collection. No longer do you have to get used to pressing a certain button to jump and another to attack and then find that the next game you play has a totally different set up.
If you’ve not yet played any of Konami’s anniversary collections there’s certainly never been a better time to do so. They’re all available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC for £15.99/$19.99, and they’re all definitely worth the money.
