Mortal Kombat 11 is Getting a Competitive Seasonal Ranked Mode

Put your fighting skills to the test when Mortal Kombat 11 gets its seasonal ranked mode June 18th.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios released today a new gameplay trailer for the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat League. This new ranked mode has players compete against other online players with the goal of unlocking in-game rewards. Kombat League will be available tomorrow, June 18th as a free content update for all Mortal Kombat 11 owners.

In the Kombat League, players will be competing in ranked matches during a four week season to progress through nine tiers, climbing from the ranks of Apprentice to Elder God by performing oodles of fatalities. Players will be rewarded with exclusive in-game items for each unlocked rank. Players will earn all unlocked items by playing various daily and seasonal quests.

Once a season expires a new season will start immediately with brand new rewards. Match making will ensure players are matched with opponents close to their same skill level. A new meter has been added to give players a quick look at their odds of winning against an opponent at the beginning of each ranked match.

In addition to all of that, early access for Shang Tsung, the first of six playable fighters included in the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack starts tomorrow for all Kombat Pack owners. The Kombat Pack is the best way to upgrade the Mortal Kombat 11 game experience with new downloadable content.
